MOMS Club of Anchor Bay Board
The MOMS Club board is a group of elected volunteers who work together to keep the club organized and active. We produce a monthly calendar of activities for moms and kids to participate in, as well as a monthly newsletter detailing important club events and information. We also serve as the liaison between the local chapter and our state coordinator. Elections are held in June, and are open for any member in our local chapter who would like to run for a position on the board. Questions, concerns, and new ideas are always welcome. Members can email board members directly or send correspondence to firstname.lastname@example.org. We do our best to meet the needs of our members.
Anna joined MOMS Club almost 3 years ago. In that time she’s made so many friends and countless memories with her children. She’s been married to her wonderful husband 7 years and has four kids ages 11, 6, 4 and a newborn. She grew up in New Baltimore and thinks it’s great getting to raise her kids here also. She enjoys reading and (sometimes) cooking when she can find the energy and inspiration. She loves playing outside with her children and especially loves to venture out to the beach (Marine City is her favorite) or a splash pad. She is very excited to be part of the board this year and hopes that she can show the club the same love, compassion, and acceptance she has felt over the last few years. When you have such a great support team cheering you on, it’s amazing how more positive and successful you feel when you go back home and continue that crazy life you have going on!
Shelly joined MOMS Club in March of 2017. Even in that short time she had made new friends, amazing memories with her kids and describes her decision to join MOMS Club as a game changer. She has been married for 5 years and has two kids; Wyatt is 3 and Riley is 1. She grew up in Warren as 1 of 10 children. In her free time she enjoys baking, reading, camping, bonfires and exploring new parks, beaches and splash pads with her kids. She is excited to serve as this years AVP and hopes that she can do for others what MOMS Club of Anchor Bay has done for her.
Amy grew up in the small town of Oxford, well it’s not so small anymore! She has one son named Easton who is 2.5 years old, he seems quiet but he can also be full of sass! Before becoming a mom, she worked as a server and bartender and really enjoyed working with people and the flexibility of her schedule. She loves country music and met her boyfriend of almost 6 years at a country bar! They recently bought their first home together! She really enjoys spending time outside boating, hiking, fishing, bonfires or just relaxing. When she is indoors she likes to binge Netflix, play cards or read. She feels so lucky to have found MOMS Club because she’s met so many amazing women she is happy to call friends! She’s really looking forward to her first year on the board as MVP!
Merri was born and raised in California and found her way to Michigan during her college years. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Music from Alma College with an emphasis in vocal music, specially classical/opera. She has one almost 2 year old little man. In her spare time she enjoys cooking new and old recipes and watching her favorite shows. She has been a member of the MOMS Club for 1.5 years and has enjoyed meeting new moms in her area. Merri is excited for what this next year has to bring and is looking forward to being on the board
Dotti holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management from Ryerson University. As a student, she was very active in student groups including serving as President of the Polish Student Society, Student Groups Coordinator, and member of the Executive Committee of the Ryerson Student Union. After graduation, she worked as a Marketing Consultant for a software company in the construction industry, then moving on to the automotive industry working in website management, digital asset management, and market research. She moved with her family to Chesterfield in January 2016 from Toronto shortly after the birth of her second child, coincidentally next door to an active MOMS Club member who introduced her to the group and helped her feel welcome. She is excited to serve her second term as Secretary.
